About Me As A Photographer

What Makes Me Different as a Photographer

When I first picked up my camera, I didn’t just want to take photos—I wanted to capture real, meaningful moments. I wanted to create images that people could look back on and feel the emotion and stories within them. That’s why, as a photographer, I focus on more than just getting the perfect shot. I focus on getting to know you—your story, your quirks, and all the little things that make your moments special. Here’s a bit more about what makes me different and what you can expect when we work together.

My Approach to Photography

I’m all about fair, accessible pricing. I charge what I’d personally feel comfortable paying because I know how important it is for people to feel like they’re getting something valuable without breaking the bank. Photography should be for everyone, and that belief guides everything I do.

When we’re working together, my number one goal is to understand your vision. I’m a bit of a people pleaser at heart—I want to make sure you feel seen and heard. I don’t just want you to like your photos; I want you to love them, to feel that they genuinely represent who you are and what matters most to you.

My Gear: The Nikon D3400

My camera of choice is the Nikon D3400, a tool that’s been with me through countless sessions, capturing everything from beach sunsets to intimate family moments. I love the way it handles colors and details—it’s reliable, powerful, and perfect for the candid shots that tell a story. With this camera, I can focus on what really matters: capturing those genuine moments as they unfold. My favorite lenses are the 35 mm, 50 mm (obvi), and of course my telephoto 70-300 mm!

Why Candid Moments Mean Everything

One of my favorite parts of photography is hearing people’s stories. I love it when clients are candid about who they are, sharing the little details of their lives, their families, and their love. For me, photography isn’t just about posing; it’s about capturing those raw, unfiltered moments that reflect real emotions. Whether it’s a laugh, a tear, or a knowing glance, those are the moments that feel timeless.

Making You Feel Comfortable

As someone who doesn’t love being in front of the camera myself, I totally get it if you feel a bit nervous. That’s why I do my best to make you feel at ease. I might show you a few photos as we go along to let you see how amazing you look and give you a bit of reassurance. And I’m always here to offer a compliment or two—I want you to feel confident, comfortable, and most importantly, yourself.

Creating a Personal Experience

I’m all about creating a session that feels like you. One tradition I want to start is meeting my couples for a coffee before their shoot. It’s a chance for us to chat, get to know each other, and just relax. I also love it when clients bring along a playlist or even a small speaker—music can help create a vibe that makes the session even more fun and personal. And pets? Bring them! They’re family, after all.

A Few Final Words

In the end, my goal is to create photos that don’t just look beautiful but feel beautiful. I want you to look at your images and feel that they capture the essence of who you are. Thank you for letting me be a part of these moments, for trusting me with your stories, and for allowing me to capture the candid, raw emotions that make life so meaningful.

If you’re ready to tell your story through photography, let’s connect! I can’t wait to work with you and create something you’ll treasure for years to come.
